Germany Opportunity Card (Chancenkarte) from Dubai

The Germany Opportunity Card from Dubai (Chancenkarte) lets you move to Europe's largest economy first and find the job second. It is a German national (D) visa that gives you one year in Germany, up to 20 hours a week of part-time work while you search, and a direct conversion to a full work permit or EU Blue Card when you get an offer.

No job offer or sponsor is needed to enter. You qualify with a recognised degree, or on points for your qualification, experience, language skills and age. A follow-up permit of up to 2 further years is possible if you meet the conditions. See all routes on our Other Countries page.

Why Germany: structural skilled-labour shortages across IT, engineering, healthcare, logistics and trades, 2-week job trials with any employer, standard Schengen short-stay mobility, and a Blue Card pathway toward German permanent residency.
