Schengen visa from Dubai

A Schengen visa from Dubai lets UAE residents visit all 29 Schengen countries on one short-stay visa, for up to 90 days in any 180-day period. It covers tourism, family visits and business trips. Schengen visas are issued as single-entry, multiple-entry or airport-transit visas.

You apply at the consulate of the country where you will spend the longest time. If your stays are equal, you apply to the first country you will enter. As a UAE resident, you apply at the consulate responsible for the UAE, usually through its visa centre.

Most refusals come from paperwork, not eligibility: weak bank statements, dates that don't match, or missing proof of ties to the UAE. Every refusal costs money and time and stays on your travel record, so we audit your file for these gaps before the embassy sees it. Planning to go further? Schengen visa FAQs

How long does a Schengen visa take from Dubai?

Standard processing is 15 calendar days. It can take up to 45 days if the consulate needs more time or documents, so apply well ahead of peak season.

Which country's consulate do I apply to?

The country where you will spend the most time. If your stays are equal, apply to the first country you will enter.

How early can I apply for a Schengen visa?

Up to 6 months before travel, and no later than 15 days before.

Is travel insurance mandatory for a Schengen visa?

Yes. You need travel medical insurance covering emergency care, hospitalisation and repatriation, with at least €30,000 cover.

How long must my passport be valid?

At least 3 months after the date you leave the Schengen area. We recommend 6 months to be safe.

Why are Schengen visas refused?

Mostly paperwork: weak or inconsistent bank statements, mismatched dates, and missing proof of ties to the UAE. If you are refused, the consulate tells you the reasons and how to appeal.

Can I visit several Schengen countries on one visa?

Yes. One Schengen visa covers all 29 Schengen countries within your permitted stay.
