What income do I need for the Malta Nomad Residence Permit?
€42,000 gross a year (about €3,500 a month), with at least 5 months of guaranteed income from the application date. The threshold does not increase for family members.
Can I apply for Malta if I earn €3,000 a month?
Normally no. €3,000 a month is €36,000 a year, below the €42,000 threshold.
Can I work for a Maltese company on the Nomad permit?
No. Income must come from an employer, clients or a company outside Malta. Maltese-source work is not permitted, including services to a foreign company's Maltese subsidiary.
Do I have to live in Malta to renew?
Yes. Renewals are annual, up to 4 years in total. You need to show genuine residence (at least 5 cumulative months in Malta in the previous 12) and continued eligibility.
Does the Malta Nomad permit lead to citizenship?
No. It is a residence permit for a 1–4 year stay, not a pathway to Maltese permanent residency or citizenship.

Why does Brazil start with a visit visa?
It is the fastest legal entry route. We file your visit visa in the UAE, and once you land we file your residence request online with the Federal Police. Brazil publishes no decision time for the nomad route itself: the Federal Police's estimate for a residence-authorisation request is up to 180 calendar days, and the Ministry of Justice states 130 to 180 calendar days. Both are estimates, not deadlines.
How long do I have to file in Brazil?
File before your visitor stay lapses. A 90-day grace window applies for switching from visitor to nomad status.
Can I work for a Brazilian company on this route?
No. Income must come from employers or clients outside Brazil.
Will I pay tax in Brazil?
Spending 183+ days in Brazil within a rolling 12-month period makes you a Brazilian tax resident. We flag this in your consultation.
What is a CPF?
Brazil's tax ID number. You need it for bank accounts, SIM cards, renting property and contracts.
Is entry to Brazil guaranteed once I have a visa?
No. Final admission is decided by Brazil's Federal Police at the border.
